It is my opinion that the key to succeeding at anything is understanding why you do it. For example, if you don’t know why you need to learn how to find the simplest version of a(b+3(8-9))(42)=b-c(3+a), then chances are you won’t make it very far as a Mathematician. (It’s 42a(b-3)=b-c(3+a) by the way), This rule applies to everything you do in life, if you don’t know why you do something, then it quickly becomes monotonous and pointless.
